I described the top in the same way I mentioned it above, making sure to show off the stretch and details, and of course, talked very enthusiastically and with my hands as I always do. I was wearing sweats, my hair was frizzy and undone, my eyebrows weren’t brushed up, my nails were chipped, and I didn’t cover up my acne. The room was messy and deff not my usual aesthetic. I made the most candid video review of the top which I filmed in my boyfriend’s room in one take. Then, I posted a candid review of the Free People top on Pinterest and it went viral. It’s a racerback that lays right between your shoulder blades and features their FP Movement logo in the center. A follower of mine who works at Free People mentioned that if you are a size large or extra-large, the top will fit more like a sports bra, therefore the length will be closer to your bust than it will your belly button. The length of the top hits about two inches above my belly button, allowing the top to meet my high-waisted leggings right at the narrowest part of my waist. If you’re anything like me and don’t like wearing tops that come close to your armpits (I don’t own a single short sleeve top hehe) then this will be perfect for you. The sides of the top dip down a little lower than your average sports bra, allowing for lots of armpit room and room to sweat without getting sweat stains on the top. I wouldn’t normally go for scoop necks because I have really broad shoulders, but the way this is designed is so flattering, especially with my broad shoulders. The straps come down right beside the neck and hit about an inch under the collar bone. The neckline quite literally resembles an uppercase U. This top has the perfect amount of stretch which makes it feel so comfortable while still being form-fitting. It’s not wicked tight or suffocating like some bra tops or sports bras can be around the rib cage. It’s perfect for exercising because I don’t need to wear an additional bra or top. It’s on the thicker side which makes the top feel sturdy and snug. The material is slightly ribbed which I like because it adds more texture and interest. I immediately tried on the top and it was everything I imagined and more. But once I saw those tops laying before my eyes, it was go-time. Of course, I jumped up and down because I was so excited to finally own this top.Īnd, if I’m being honest, I was already determined I wanted to own every single color of this top but I just wasn’t sure when I’d make the move to begin that journey. And another color of the same top underneath. Well, low and behold, I opened my birthday gift and there was the top. I loved that it came in 35 different colors too because hello!! You could have a color for each day of the week! Or the month. I had been eyeing this top for so long because it looked like the comfiest, form-fitting workout top that could double as a loungewear top. It was my birthday last week and I had a particular Free People Movement top on my wishlist.
